About Who Owes Whom?
Who Owes Whom? keeps shared costs simple. Trip, flat, dinner or a birthday gift: add who paid, and the app shows who owes whom how much and the few transfers that settle everyone up.
- A group in seconds: type the names, nobody needs an account.
- Add an expense with the amount and who paid; it is split equally, or by exact amounts or by shares.
- The category is suggested from the description (fuel, groceries, dinner…).
- Settle up: suggestions pair the person who owes the most with the person who is owed the most, with at most one transfer fewer than the number of people.
- Record full or partial payments; mistakes can be undone.
- “How is this calculated?” shows what each person paid, their share and their net balance.
- Share the summary on WhatsApp or any other app as text or an image card; private mode hides the amounts.
- One currency per group, 57 currencies supported. Everything is calculated in the smallest unit of the currency, so the totals always add up.
- Try it with a sample group, archive finished groups, back up and restore with a file.
- Optional daily reminder: notification permission is only asked when you turn it on.
- Light and dark theme; available in 15 languages.
Your data stays on your device
No account, no server: groups, expenses and payments are stored only on this device and the app works offline. Move to a new phone with a backup file. Who Owes Whom? does not connect to your bank, does not send or receive money and gives no financial advice; it only keeps track of who paid what.
Free and Premium
The free version is fully usable: up to 3 active groups (archived groups and the sample group don’t count) and up to 10 people per group, with a small banner ad at the end of the groups list and on the “All settled!” screen. Never any ads in forms.
Premium (monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase) gives unlimited groups, up to 50 people per group, CSV export, the spending breakdown card, settle-up day reminders and no ads at all. A one-time purchase that only removes ads is also available. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your Google Play account settings. Purchases can be restored with the same store account. When Premium ends, none of your data is locked.
